VIRASAT (The Dynasty) is a story of Thakur (Amrish Puri) and his son Shakti (Anil Kapoor), who returns home to his village after completing his education abroad with his college girlfriend (Pooja Batra).
Shakti has come home with a fiance and plans to return back to the city to work. His father wants him to stay in the village and run the family dynasty.
A simple visit with Pooja to the family temple results in sparking old family rivalry and leading to a riot in the village . Events unfold which results in Shakti getting more pulled into village affairs . Shakti must choose between his dreams and his fathers desires for him to stay and take over the family dynasty.
Virasat shot in outdoor locations in India depicts the contrast between western culture and values against a simple village life of innocence. The film features six hit
