When Prem Babu (Shreeram Lagoo) a respected city jeweler is robbed of a set of valuable diamonds belonging to an Arab customer, he sells everything he has to compensate his customer. Vijay (Rishi Kapoor) and Ravi (Govinda) his sons have their suspicions about the loss of the diamonds. The brothers set out to restore their father's reputation and recover the diamonds. Ravi takes up a job with Sheth Dharamdas (Prem Chopra) the very man whom they suspect of robbing the diamonds, and Vijay becomes a newspaper reporter bent upon uncovering all he can about Sheth Dharamdas and his evil deeds.
